He was with his friends. Extremely happy sharing the most wonderful feeling he had experienced. She calls him up. He asks her what are her plans for the evening. She suggests that they meet up with her friends and catch a late night movie. He's excited. She says she'll call back.
One of his friends departs and he's just left with one. He accompanies him to the bookstore and idles time. Waiting. Waiting for the call. Every moment seems eternity.
He tries to lighten the weight of expectation by reading a book. Its a nice book, but his mind wanders. He checks the time...its 5:30....then he checks the time of her last call...its 4:03....
He starts to type a message...but halfway through changes his mind....he waits....his friend pays for the books he's bought and asks him about his movie plans with her....he replies saying she hasnt called.
At his friend's behest....he calls her....the call's in waiting....he hangs up...he waits...as he and his friend walk to his car...she calls...confirms movie plans for the evening....he's excited.
he drops off his friend and goes home....he waits and waits....he's quite tired...he just wants to get a nap...a power nap....soon its time to get ready.....he showers...puts on smart clothes....dabs on his favourite Carolina Herrera....and is all ready...
he sees a missed call....he's intrigued....he calls back....its her voice....he can recognize it...but he plays safe....bcoz he's not sure....she plays around for a while...before admitting that its her....he's amused....she tells him that the plan might not happen and they might just go for coffee...
he's okay with it...sometime later...she calls again...this time from her cell...she says her friend just got 3 tickets....she tells him she's given her friend 3 options....(1)that her friends get 2 more tickets...(2)if not then sell off the 3 tickets....(3)if not then just she and 2 other friends will go...
he's heartbroken...disappointed....that results in this post....he starts to think why him....why him....he'd already told his mom about the plan....his friend about his plan....what would he tell them when it didnt work out....he tries to act as if everything's fine...he starts blogging...rants his heart out....
then suddenly...she calls him....she says her friend has managed to get tickets..he's absolutely over the top....he thinks to himself...why does he overreact in such situations...
he's just so very presumptive...he needs to stop that....especially now that he's trying to get into a relationship.
he needs to learn....he needs to improve. he absolutely does.
