Dassera Despair!!
Yes...u read it right!! The day started off on a good note and ended on a very bad note!! Thanks to me ofcourse.
A friend of mine was buying a new car and the only "decent" driver available was me! Wow...come to think of it, I'm relegated to the position of a driver from a position of a project leader...hehehe..
bottomline...is i did all the driving...after dinner i dropped the car back in his house and decided to go home by bus...I just crossed the road and saw a bus drive by...i ran behind the bus and caught it...only to realize a second later that my cellphone had fallen out of my pocket...i got down from the bus and ran back...searching all along the road...but could'nt find my cellphone anywhere...
somehow managed to get through to my sister and told her to get my number blocked.
the point is not about getting the number blocked and preventing the misuse of my cellphone, but the point is....i lost all my phone numbers.....i lost all my SMS messages....i lost all the pictures i had taken recently....i lost the couple of cellphone games that I had downloaded....i have to re-feed the information about my credit card...insurance policy...etc...in short the loss is IRREPAIRABLE
And to top this off...mom was constantly bickering away...censuring me for carelessness...which got me all the more flustered...i feel like kicking myself at the back end for this damn thing
if only...i had not ran for the bus...if only i had decided to go in a rick...if only i had not put my cellphone in my trouser pocket...if only i had worn a different trouser with a deeper pocket....if only i had not gone to my friends house to drop the car and gone home directly home...if only i had my own car...well the if only's...can continue no end...
Harsh fact of life...what has already happened...cannot be undone again....Oh my god..how much I hate myself for this incident...
now...as i await the arrival of my new SIM card and new mobile handset...my resolve to take care of my stuff only grows stronger!!
